You Must Have Patience to Succeed Online

June 6, 2008

The failure of many people trying to make money online is they do not allow their efforts to mature and bring them the results they want.  Some things take time to work.  All the promises of internet profits in the next 30 days are only somewhat realistic.  You have to take the required action to make those profits happen.

You must have patience with your computer and the internet in general.  It might take you a while to get your website up.  It may take you a few events of lost data before you remember to back up your important files.  Your computer and the internet are the same; mechanical tools that will most likely fail.  If you are prepared, you can roll over these bumps with ease.

More importantly you must have patience with your business.  If you are just starting out, you will need to gain some knowledge to be successful.  Most of the time that means reading more than just one book or report.  If you are desperate for money, if the rent is due and your girlfriend is pregnant, trying to start an internet business to pay the bills next month is probably not the best course to take.  Better that you get a job and get on stable ground before starting a new venture.

Any legitimate business takes months to mature to the point of profitability.  Don’t get me wrong, there are ways to make a quick buck online.  But are you trying to make a quick buck or to make a business with residual income that you can live on?

Before you get too involved, decide what you want.

Succeeding online takes time and a lot of effort. It should be treated like a business and given enough time to grow.
