The Killer of Your Affiliate Business

So you have made a couple of sales for your Clickbank products. It is common for new affiliates to ease up on their promoting thinking that you have arrived. But the reality is that the sales you make today are based on yesterday’s efforts. The sales you make tomorrow will be largly based on your efforts today. If you stop doing the mundane and boring part of your new business, sales will taper off and soon stop all together.
Suddenly the realization hits. What was fun and interesting in the beginning, has now become routine and boring. This is is where some affiliates falter. The newness has gone, posting ads, making blog entries, surfing traffic exchanges, there is nothing new to see. You have probably seen all the major programs on the net promising greener grass on their side of the fence. It’s amazing to see so many people telling you how much money they made with no effort. Now you know better. If they did make money today with no effort, it is because they worked their butt off yesterday to build the groundwork.
There can some time be a thin line between love and hate. You love your business, but you certainly do hate a lot of what seems to be the mundane. So often the routine work, the daily to-do list can feel like it is taking you no where fast, but truth is, IF those things you do every day are the things that are taking you closer to your goal then you couldn’t be doing anything more important.
I know you have heard that time is money. It certainly is especially when you are doing those things that produce an income. I don’t have to tell you how important managing time can be. One way that has worked for me is to keep a list next to my computer of the things I have to do every day. Each day, before I do anything else, I tend to my list. Completing the list does not take much time once I get to it. It is like getting your homework done early, you don’t have to worry about it anymore.
Be careful that your daily list does not get too large. Track your efforts and weed out what isn’t performing.
