Persistance Works
April 17, 2008
You hear it all the time, “affiliate programs never work”, “you can’t make money online”,”I tried that and it is a scam”
You know what I see all the time? I see people that are not persistent. They join a program with instant riches in their head, they join a few traffic exchanges, maybe they even place an ad, or pay for some PPC listings. In the end they make little to no money and it ends up costing them more than they made in those two weeks.
Did you know that people in general need to see your ad at least 7 times before they take a serious
look? Think about it. How many times have you viewed the same ad or the same site, before you decided to actually read through the material?
The problem many people have is they simply give up way too soon. They have no plan of action, they don’t set up a budget, they don’t keep any records or track ads.
Placing one ad at one place, is usually not going to cut the mustard.
The key is to be consecutive and consistent and very persistent. Placing one little five buck ad in one
little advert place, probably won’t net much of a result if any. However, placing one unique ad in one
advert place, several times, may in fact net good results.
The same goes with free advertising. If you place one ad one time, it is more doubtful you will see results
than if you placed that ad multiple times, over and over again.
And where should you advertise for the best results? Every where you can and as much as you can.
With proper planning and data collection your advertising campaign can be successful with a minimum budget. But you really need to have that long term plan, expecially if you are just starting out. Once you have some experience, you will have a much better idea what works and what doesn’t.
Be a little wary of guru’s willing to sell you information about what worked for them last year. The internet is a constantly changing environment. What worked last year may still be great today, but it could just as easily be a dry well.
Bottomline, be very consistent, persistent, place ads multiple times at the same place when you can.
